The Envision Taylor Comprehensive Plan, led by Lionheart, is designed to steer Taylor, Texas towards a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future, focusing on leveraging existing infrastructure for smart investments and long-term resource management. This comprehensive initiative targets a robust fiscal framework, ensuring that all growth and development are economically sustainable and benefit the entire community. Key design features include a strong emphasis on community resilience—enhancing the durability of infrastructure, natural systems, and social structures to withstand various stresses—and the integration of diverse housing options such as "Missing Middle Housing" to cater to a wide range of residents.
Lionheart's role was pivotal in several areas: they facilitated innovative public engagement strategies, especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic when traditional methods were unfeasible. Utilizing the Konveio digital platform, Lionheart ensured broad community involvement and input into the planning process. They also worked closely with local stakeholders, including businesses and residents, to align the project's goals with community needs and expectations.
The plan also addresses significant challenges such as balancing growth with environmental and fiscal sustainability. Solutions developed include sustainable development practices to maintain economic viability and the city’s character, alongside strategies for inclusive community development to ensure that all segments of the population benefit from the plan.
