Lionheart created a proforma for anticipated park maintenance in various stages of development using existing data on maintenance costs.
The Onion Creek Metropolitan Park District (OCMPD) is located in southeast Austin approximately 8 miles from Downtown, within the Austin Goodnight Ranch Development. Managed by a quasi-governmental District Management Board created via special financing district, the purpose of this document is to provide a high-level description of the operations and maintenance needs of the 750 acre OCMPD and to outline a comprehensive approach to operations and maintenance throughout the District’s life. It is intended to be a tool used by the District Board of Directors to make informed decisions for the existing and future improvements contained within the District’s boundaries and to set a baseline of recommended operations and maintenance activities and estimated costs.
The challenge with this project was the varying degrees of completeness the many parks were in. Some parks in the OCMPD were fully built out and operational, some were under construction, while others had not yet been designed. This document designated the parks by use of expected activity level and features a proforma that will function more accurately over time as more data in included in the set.
